Alana De La Garza has made a name for herself in the world of TV. De La Garza, a Mexican American father as well as an Irish American mother, was born in Columbus Ohio on June 26, 1976. De La Garza emigrated shortly to Texas and studied the field of physical therapy at University of Texas. De La Garza stayed in Texas just a few months before she moved into Orlando Florida. She took part in many different kinds of character roles including commercials and local independent movies. Even though she had small parts, the actress rapidly realized the passion she had for performing. The year 2001 saw her move from the Midwest to New York where her first part was in All My Children's morning soap in the role of Rosa Santos.
